Description / Project Specifics
The project is an infill site onto an original residential garage block to construct 4 houses, three terrace of two storey two bedroom houses and one three storey HMO with 4 bedrooms and bathrooms for critical care workers. The building is traditional foundation, brick and block façade, pitched roof and flat roof structures with high energy efficiency performance.
Challenges Overcome / Positive Outcome
The site is located at the rear of a block of apartments with a small access route side road. The site boundaries have significant limitations including a children’s playground. The site required high level logistical planning and regular community liaison. The scheme has been put forward by the client for a number of regional awards.
